Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Helix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Loosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Helix!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Loosa!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix connects with a nice looking jab.

Loosa gets caught flat footed, as Helix shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Helix throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Helix is looking to work some ground and pound but Loosa has wrist control.

Loosa wants to sweep but no luck.

Helix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Loosa tries to avoid it but Helix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Loosa to the ground. Loosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Loosa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Brandon Helix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Helix moves into the clinch.
Loosa misses with a punch on the inside.

Loosa swings wildly with an uppercut but Helix uses good head movement to avoid it.

Loosa throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Loosa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Loosa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Helix has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Loosa has managed to get both his arms back between Helix's legs - danger averted.

Helix had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Loosa defends it easily.

Helix feints and then cracks Loosa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Loosa down.
Victor Loosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Loosa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Helix at a distance.
Helix tries to score a power double leg takedown but Loosa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Helix somewhat.

Helix shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Loosa napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Loosa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Loosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Helix. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Loosa is looking for a sweep.

Helix is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Loosa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Loosa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Helix manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Horrible takedown attempt by Helix or perhaps it was just good defense by Loosa, which made it look bad.

Oh Helix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Helix shoots and misses
and Loosa counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Helix out cold! What a finish! Loosa is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

A relieved looking Victor Loosa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
