Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slade Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ray Lennox!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Wilson.
Wilson misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Lennox counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Lennox jumps guard but Wilson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wilson can't find room to land a body shot as Lennox controls the action.

Lennox misses with a hook from the clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lennox has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Wilson gets through Lennox's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Lennox unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wilson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Wilson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Wilson throws a punch but it's blocked by Lennox.
Lennox doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lennox can't find room to land a body shot as Wilson controls the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lennox manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Lennox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Lennox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wilson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wilson won't allow Lennox to sweep him here.
Wilson throws a big elbow that misses.
Wilson wants to control from the top but Lennox keeps moving.
Wilson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Wilson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That was a close round but I would say that Slade Wilson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

so Lennox counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lennox makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Wilson is trying to keep Lennox in close.

Wilson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lennox checks it well.

Ray Lennox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Wilson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Wilson tries to lock up and control but Lennox gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lennox not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Lennox looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wilson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lennox prevents Wilson from improving his position.
Wilson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lennox scores with a couple of nice shots.
Lennox throws a strike but Wilson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Wilson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lennox is working away from the top position though.
Lennox has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lennox is keen to just control but Wilson is a slippery customer.
Wilson tries to roll over but Lennox keeps him under control.
Lennox content to control rather than advance.

Ray Lennox seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lennox misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lennox fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wilson misses with a low kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lennox. Wilson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Lennox has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ray Lennox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lennox has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
