PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Tyco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Vicious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vicious has chosen Anarchy in the UK as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sid Vicious told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vicious is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tyco takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

We've been hearing good reports from Tyco's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vicious can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vicious lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vicious stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vicious wants it to stay on the feet.

Vicious's corner calls for a 1-2. Vicious obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tyco crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vicious - the referee stops the clock and Tyco gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vicious. Tyco manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vicious lands a big head kick that sends Tyco tumbling to the mat! Vicious takes a step backwards and waves Tyco back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Tyco shoots in looking for a takedown but Vicious manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tyco's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Oh Tyco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Vicious lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Vicious throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tyco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vicious tries to avoid it but Tyco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vicious to the ground. Vicious escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tyco gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Vicious gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Tyco is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
