Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nolan Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt has chosen The Beast as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julian Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt throws a sloppy head kick and Rollins moves out of range easily.

Hunt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rollins to the ground. Hunt is now in Rollins's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunt with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hunt tries to stand but Rollins is controlling from the bottom.

Rollins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rollins is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunt throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rollins uses it to pass to side control.
Hunt is trying to work for a sweep but Rollins has mounted him!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hunt tries to hold on but Rollins postures up.
Rollins controlling the pace for now.
Rollins manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hunt to take his back!
Hunt tries to break free.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rollins not allowing Hunt to control his hands.
Rollins is riding his opponent, not letting Hunt buck him off.
Hunt just trying to survive but Rollins is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rollins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hunt wants to get back to his feet.
Hunt trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Hunt fending off the submission attempt from Rollins.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hunt can't escape the position.
Hunt trying to control the action but Rollins just sinks the hooks in.
Rollins gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hunt covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Rollins gets his hands free as Hunt looks to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nolan Rollins dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hunt closes the distance but Rollins moves to the side

and Rollins counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hunt won't be happy with that.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Rollins cracks Hunt with a big elbow.
Rollins moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Hunt is trying to control Rollins's posture but Rollins avoids it.

Rollins controls the position.
Hunt is trying to get back to half guard.
A control attempt from Hunt but he's now mounted!
Nolan Rollins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hunt throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Rollins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hunt is trying to reverse the position but instead Rollins has taken his back - oops!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Rollins is hanging on to Hunt's back as he tries to escape.
Hunt wants to control his opponent's hands but Rollins gets his hands free.
You can see the frustration on Hunt's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Hunt breaks Rollins's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Hunt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hunt looking to sit in guard and control but Rollins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hunt is looking to sweep but instead, Rollins has passed into half guard.
Ground and pound from Rollins.
Rollins seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hunt is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rollins jumps into side control!

Rollins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunt, who protects the arm well.

Rollins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hunt trying to control but Rollins flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nolan Rollins dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Rollins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hunt's guard.

Hunt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rollins stacks Hunt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rollins!
Rollins slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Hunt.
Hunt can't escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rollins landing punches.
Hunt manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Hunt tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Rollins has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Hunt is trying to reverse the position but instead Rollins has taken his back - oops!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunt is trying to break free.
Hunt trying to control but not successfully.
Rollins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hunt can do to turn this around?
Rollins is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Rollins is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hunt is defending well though. Rollins let's go of the attempt for now.
Hunt is trying to stand back up.

Hunt is in bad spot here.
Rollins lands a shot to the body.

Julian Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.











Hunt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
