The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grant shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grant showed some decent athleticism there.
Grant seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Grant is looking for a kimura but White is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Grant to get the leverage.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grant on the ground.
Grant is thwarting White's attempts to control the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Grant in particular looking to stall.

It looks like Grant might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
