PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Avengers Avenge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Hazel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avenge defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hazel.
Hazel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Avenge manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hazel dives in and grabs Avenge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Avenge pushes down on Hazel's head and hops out.
Hazel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Avenge's waist but Avenge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hazel off to one side.
The Avengers Avenge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Hazel.

Hazel stuffs the takedown attempt from Avenge. Avenge gets slowly back to his feet.
Avenge shoots in and drives through. Hazel sprawls well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hazel shoots in looking for a takedown but Avenge manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hazel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Avenge definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Avenge uses his free foot to push down on Hazel's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hazel.

Avenge is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hazel can do to turn this around?

That was a close second round but I would say that The Avengers Avenge will probably get the nod.

Avenge has his foot on Hazel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hazel works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to The Avengers Avenge.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Avenge, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
