Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David The Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mubarak Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for David The Lion has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David The Lion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mubarak Machida!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from The Lion lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Machida has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Machida and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
The Lion throws a head kick that Machida semi-blocks.
The Lion throws a sloppy head kick and Machida moves out of range easily.
The Lion swings for the body but Machida moves out of range.
Machida keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Machida avoids a kick to the body.
Sloppy strikes from The Lion. Those never looked like landing.
We've been informed that Machida has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

It looks like Machida might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Machida drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The Lion manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Machida has The Lion in his guard.

Machida is pulling down on The Lion's head. It's preventing any offense from The Lion, at least for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Machida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Lion gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machida is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I've got Machida winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
