The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McCarthy.
McCarthy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Silva misses with a body kick.

McCarthy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Sean McCarthy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCarthy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silva has his foot on McCarthy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCarthy works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McCarthy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McCarthy's back!

McCarthy is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Silva off. It looks like it's working - Silva slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! McCarthy displaying calm under pressure there.

Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Silva stops McCarthy from getting back to his feet.
Silva maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! McCarthy could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Silva has cracked it and McCarthy is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Silva!

Royce Silva bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Sean McCarthy was interviewed post fight and said 'Congratulations to the winner, he was the better fighter on the night. But i promise my fans next time I'll come back stronger.'.
