Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ritchie Blackmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Call Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackmore's entrance music is 16th century greensleeves. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ritchie Blackmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Call Me!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Me checks the leg kick.
Blackmore misses with an uppercut. Me saw that one coming.
Blackmore wants to land a leg kick but Me is out of range.
Me closes the distance and clinches up with Blackmore, looking for a takedown. Me pushes Blackmore against the cage but Blackmore circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Blackmore was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Me fails with the takedown.
Blackmore throws a jab when Me was well out of range.
Me tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blackmore sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Me somewhat.
Ritchie Blackmore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Call Me.
Blackmore looks to land a left hand but Me moved out of range nicely.
Blackmore throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Me sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ritchie Blackmore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Me fails with a takedown attempt.
Blackmore appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Blackmore just misses with a punch to the body.

Blackmore throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Call Me has been cut.
Blackmore looks to land a combination but Me avoids it well.
Me is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Blackmore misses with a kick to the body

so Me counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Me with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Blackmore is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Blackmore has his foot on Me's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Me works his way back into a safe position though.

Blackmore is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Me is aware though and is defending well.

Me postures up in Blackmore's guard and throws a big left but Blackmore blocks it.
Me stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blackmore swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blackmore looking for a sweep. Not yet Blackmore, not yet.
Blackmore lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Blackmore definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Me can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Me pulls Blackmore in close to prevent any damage.
Blackmore is working Me over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Blackmore postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Me looking for a sweep. Not yet Me, not yet.
Me is adopting a defensive guard.
Blackmore postures up.
Blackmore is looking to work some ground and pound but Me has wrist control.
Blackmore with a flurry of punches that miss.

Blackmore drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Me manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Blackmore has Me in his guard.

Me is pushing down on Blackmore's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blackmore is fighting to maintain full guard but Me has managed to sneak the leg through.
Blackmore is trying to control but can't.
Me looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Blackmore is trying to get back to full guard.
Blackmore is doing well to control the position and prevent Me from advancing to side control.
Me seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Me lands with a punch from half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Me lands a nice short elbow.
Blackmore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blackmore gets back to full guard.
Me postures up and lands a big shot to Blackmore's brow.

Blackmore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Me doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Me manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blackmore had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Me defends it easily.
Me distracts Blackmore with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blackmore is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Me scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ritchie Blackmore dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Call Me's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Me fails with a takedown attempt.
Me showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Blackmore.
Blackmore is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Me can do to turn this around?
Me shoots in looking for a takedown but Blackmore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Me's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Blackmore throws the kick towards the body but Me avoids it.
Me is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Blackmore loads up on a big right hand but Me slips the punch.
Me will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Me is trying to drag Blackmore to the mat but Blackmore just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Me wants a takedown but no success here.

Blackmore's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Call Me is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Blackmore lands a big uppercut and Me crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Me looks OK. Blackmore waves Me back to his feet!


Me is rocked!
Ritchie Blackmore is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Me shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blackmore but Blackmore pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Me is still on wobbly legs! Can Blackmore finish him?
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Blackmore engages and cracks Me with a massive lead left hook - Me tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Blackmore is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ritchie Blackmore!
Ritchie Blackmore gave a mention to Vendetta Supplements 160Q in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
