The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones wants to clinch.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ramirez lands with an uppercut that bounces Jones off the cage and back into range.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.

Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Ramirez.

Ramirez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jones on his heels. He'll look to pass Jones's guard now, I'm sure.
Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ramirez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.

Ramirez looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ramirez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jones is rocked!
Ramirez scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Jones is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Ramirez can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
