Turkulainen comes to the ring accompanied by Indivision & Wreckage Machinery - Coals & Diamonds. Temppa Turkulainen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turkulainen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Makatua waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Turkulainen.
Turkulainen wants to clinch up but Makatua keeps it at a distance.
Makatua throws a solid leg kick but Turkulainen takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Makatua.
Turkulainen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Makatua. Makatua circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Makatua lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Makatua defending well as Turkulainen loads up on a big left hand.
Makatua goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Turkulainen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Makatua.
Makatua pivots, looking for a leg kick but Turkulainen is out of range and Makatua settles back down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Makatua takes one on the button.

It looks like Sam Makatua has been cut.
Makatua throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Makatua ducks under a wild hook from Turkulainen.
Makatua takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Makatua gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Turkulainen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Makatua at a distance.
Turkulainen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Temppa Turkulainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Turkulainen moves into range and clinches up with Makatua.
Turkulainen stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Turkulainen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Turkulainen looks to score with a jab to the body but Makatua is just out of range.
Makatua keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Turkulainen.
Makatua misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Makatua slips under a jab.

Turkulainen darts in and clinches Makatua up against the ropes.
Turkulainen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Turkulainen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turkulainen misses with a looping right.
Makatua dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Turkulainen closes the distance but Makatua moves to the side
and Makatua counters with a nice uppercut.
Turkulainen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Makatua staggers Turkulainen with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Turkulainen looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

Turkulainen is rocked!

Oh Turkulainen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Makatua moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Turkulainen! Makatua continues to tee off on Turkulainen, landing with a left and a right! Makatua connects with a right hand that leaves Turkulainen sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Makatua!
