Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joachim Pandela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joachim Pandela!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Tiger!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tiger moves into the clinch successfully.
Tiger drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pandela gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tiger misses with the head strike.

Pandela pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Tiger closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tiger lands in his opponent's guard.
Pandela knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tiger on the ground.
Tiger wants to control from the top but Pandela keeps moving.
Tiger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Pandela wants to get back to his feet but Tiger is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tiger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Pandela wants to stand up but Tiger is controlling him.

Tiger should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pandela moves into range and clinches up with Tiger.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tiger fails to pull guard.
Pandela is trying to maintain a safe position but Tiger gets an underhook and turns Pandela into the cage.
Tiger is looking to control Pandela's arms but Pandela gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tiger has his back to the cage.
Pandela goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tiger prevents it.
Tiger wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pandela has him pressed against the cage.
Tiger can't get the takedown.
Joachim Pandela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Tiger.
Pandela creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tiger's defenses.


It looks like Tony Tiger has been cut.
Pandela landing knees to the head.
Tiger has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pandela avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Pandela escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pandela has Tiger up against the cage in a clinch.
Tiger tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A head punch on the inside from Tiger fails to land.
Pandela landing knees to the body.
Tiger takes a knee right on the jaw!
Pandela is trying to drag Tiger to the mat but Tiger just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pandela is breathing heavily.
Pandela softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Pandela drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tiger breaks the clinch.

Tiger closes the distance and clinches.
Pandela wants to break free but Tiger has control.

Tiger manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tiger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tiger pulls Pandela in to control the position.

Pandela avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tiger uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Pandela scores with a three punch combo!

Pandela feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pandela gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tiger passes into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tiger is tying to control. Pandela wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joachim Pandela will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tony Tiger's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Pandela lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Tiger counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tiger works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Tiger prevents Pandela from standing back up.
Tiger controlling the action here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tiger decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Pandela throws a head kick but Tiger moves out of range.

Tiger drives through and clinches with Pandela against the cage.
Pandela tries to pull guard but Tiger won't allow it.

Tiger manages to break the clinch.

Tiger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pandela, pushing him back against the cage.
Pandela lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Pandela lands a nice knee to the body.

Pandela breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tiger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Pandela throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Pandela gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pandela wants to stand and escape but Tiger is having none of it.
Pandela is trying to keep Tiger in close.
Tiger won't allow Pandela to get back to his feet.
Tiger slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tiger advances position into side control!
Pandela is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Tiger is staying tight to Pandela's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pandela managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Tiger.

and Tiger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pandela wants to stand but Tiger is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Tiger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Pandela is in a horrible position here. Tiger smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Tiger lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pandela hang on?
Pandela wants to get back to his feet.
Tiger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tiger throwing strikes but Pandela uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tiger has eaten all the pies!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tiger slows the pace down in half guard.
Pandela trying to control from the bottom.
Tiger throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Pandela pushes Tiger off and gets back to his feet.

Tiger shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tiger was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

And that's the end of the fight!
Tony Tiger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tiger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
