The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Underwood wants to clinch up but Mi keeps it at a distance.
Mi tries to land a front kick but Underwood steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Underwood as he avoids it easily.
Underwood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Underwood defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mi.
Underwood moves in looking to clinch but Mi pushes him off.
Mi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Mi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mi shoots in but no luck this time.

Underwood moves into the clinch.
Underwood lands a nice elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mi tries to stall but Underwood uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Underwood digs a right hand underneath Mi's ribcage. Mi let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Underwood comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Underwood creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mi's defenses.
Oh Mi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Clinched against the cage, Underwood lands a big elbow that drops Mi! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Mi is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
