Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Water (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silakka comes to the cage accompanied by Blood for Blood - Aint like you. Water has chosen Mother F***** of The Year- Motley Crue as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Silakka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Water!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Water digs a good body shot into Silakka's ribs.

Silakka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Water makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Silakka gets caught flat footed, as Water shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Silakka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Silakka looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Water has picked Silakka up and slammed him! Silakka can't keep hold of the triangle and Water manages to pass to side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Well, if Water is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Water decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Water throws a head kick but Silakka moves out of range.
Timo Silakka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Water fails with the takedown.
Silakka closes the distance and clinches up with Water, looking for a takedown. Silakka pushes Water against the cage but Water circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Silakka or perhaps it was just good defense by Water which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timo Silakka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Water looks to land a combination. Silakka sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Water clinches up with Silakka and pushes him back against the cage.
Silakka tries to pull guard but Water won't allow it.

Water is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silakka is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Water to the mat. Water regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Timo Silakka will probably get the nod.

Water has managed to clinch.
Water is looking to break free of the clinch but Silakka has double underhooks.
Silakka is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Timo Silakka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Silakka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Water can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Water stands up and waves to Silakka to follow him.

Silakka closes the distance but Water moves to the side

and Water counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Water slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Silakka manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Water wants to hold on but Silakka pushes him away.
The referee warns Water that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silakka has hold of Water's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Water manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Silakka is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Water has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Silakka with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Silakka has control of Water's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Water regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silakka gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Water shoots in but no luck this time.

That was a close second round but I would say that Timo Silakka will probably get the nod.

Silakka shoots in looking for a takedown. Water tries to sprawl out of it but Silakka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Water manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Water jumps guard but Silakka stands there with Water around his waist. Water gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
