The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Luca circles away from the clinch attempt

and De Luca counters by moving into the clinch.
Miles wants to get back to striking at distance but De Luca won't allow it.

De Luca jumps into guard, dragging Miles to the mat.
Miles with a flurry of punches that miss.
Miles throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Luca works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
De Luca has a closed guard, preventing Miles from standing up.
Miles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

De Luca wanted to stand there but Miles had control of the position.
De Luca is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
