Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Freeman keeps working.
Freeman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Taylor asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Taylor taking a break here but Freeman is having none of it and regains half guard.

Taylor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Freeman sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Taylor wants to stand up but Freeman has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Freeman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Freeman was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Peter Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Taylor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Freeman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
