Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Thump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marques has chosen mosh as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

A head kick lands from Thump that sends Marques to the canvas. Marques tries to scramble back to his feet but Thump brings him back down into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Big Thump overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Marques is looking to get back to his feet here but Thump is keeping cool and he's managed to take Marques's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Big Thump decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
