Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Boucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Tremblay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Boucher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Tremblay!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tremblay shoots and misses

and Boucher counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Boucher lands with a short punch from the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tremblay has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Boucher has clasped his hands together around Tremblay's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Tremblay is not content to let Boucher control the position.

Boucher looks up at the clock and then as Tremblay takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boucher smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Boucher is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tremblay knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Boucher drops back looking for a leg! Tremblay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tremblay manages to kick Boucher off! Boucher jumps back into Tremblay's guard.
Boucher is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Boucher is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tremblay is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tremblay has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boucher is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Boucher preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Tremblay looking to sit in guard and control but Boucher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boucher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tremblay regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Boucher.

Boucher turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Boucher manages to end up in side control.
Boucher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tremblay keeps working.

Boucher is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tremblay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Boucher tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boucher has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Boucher works to advance to full mount. Tremblay defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Tremblay dives in and grabs Boucher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boucher pushes down on Tremblay's head and hops out.
Boucher seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Boucher throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tremblay tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boucher is in Tremblay's guard.
Tremblay is looking to stand up but Boucher isn't so interested in that idea.

Boucher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tremblay swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tremblay has his foot on Boucher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boucher works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tremblay tries to circle away but Boucher has him pinned against the cage.
Tremblay is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Boucher pulls him back up using the underhooks.
