The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malblanche fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Malblanche escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Da Silva has managed to clinch.
Malblanche has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Da Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Malblanche swings wildly with an uppercut but Da Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Malblanche looking to throw knees to the head but Da Silva is blocking nicely.
Da Silva pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Da Silva working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Malblanche.
Malblanche postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Malblanche throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Malblanche trying to control but Da Silva is working from the bottom.

Malblanche postures up in Da Silva's guard and throws a big left but Da Silva blocks it.
Malblanche throws a strike but Da Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Malblanche has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Malblanche looking for a triangle here. Da Silva is fighting it but it looks tight! Malblanche pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Da Silva is tapping out - this one is all over!
