The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norsjod pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Norsjod has managed to clinch.

Norsjod pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Perry with that takedown attempt.

Norsjod gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Perry prevents the takedown attempt.
Perry pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Perry misses with a punch on the inside.

Norsjod breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Norsjod throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Norsjod shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Perry but Perry pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Philip Norsjod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gale Perry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Philip Norsjod.

Norsjod escapes and gets back to his feet.
Norsjod moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Norsjod rushes Perry and presses him up against the cage.

Norsjod gets control of Perry's arms and successfully pulls guard. Norsjod will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Perry throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Norsjod works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Perry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Norsjod circles away.
Norsjod shoots in but Perry avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Norsjod lands a big head kick that sends Perry tumbling to the mat! Norsjod takes a step backwards and waves Perry back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Perry is rocked!

It looks like Gale Perry has been cut.
Norsjod seems to be stalking Perry here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Perry drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
