Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Konish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Konish will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Konish!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Konish drives through and clinches with Moss against the cage.
Konish prevents Moss from breaking the clinch.

Moss jumps guard and drags Konish to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Konish has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moss is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moss wants to sweep here but Konish controlling him for the moment.
Moss is working hard here to advance position.
Konish looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moss looking to hit a scissor sweep but Konish is one step ahead there.

Konish seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Konish looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Moss is trying to break free.

Moss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Konish is trying hard to land a takedown here. Moss sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Eugene Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Konish.

Konish instigates a clinch.
Moss really is a fat lump.
Moss jumps guard but Konish turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Moss changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Konish fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Konish or perhaps it was just good defense by Moss, which made it look bad.

Konish shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moss defends it nicely.
Moss stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moss wants it to stay on the feet.

and Moss moves into the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Moss gets through Konish's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Moss misses with the head strike.
Moss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Konish just stands there and leans against the cage.
Moss drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Konish gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Moss has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Konish uses from the top position.
Moss wants to stand but Konish is controlling the position.
Konish is fighting to break Moss's control of his arms but Moss is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moss wants to control but Konish passes easily into half guard.
Konish working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Moss's thigh. Moss counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Moss has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Konish drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moss is on top in guard.

Konish wants to stand up but Moss is controlling him.

Konish controls Moss momentarily but Moss frees himself.

Konish looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Moss passes into half guard.
Konish is breathing heavily.

Moss wants to work for an arm triangle but Konish is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Moss is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Konish has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moss is working away from the top position though.

Moss looking for a submission but Konish manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Moss decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Konish has his takedown stuffed

and Moss moves into the clinch.
Moss wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Konish breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Moss tries to clinch there but Konish circles away.
Konish tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Konish somewhat.

Moss shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eugene Moss dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Konish has closed the distance and engaged Moss in a clinch.
Konish has Moss pressed against the cage, preventing Moss from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Konish has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Moss uses from the top position.

Konish has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Moss is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Konish.

Konish managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Moss.
Konish is trying to control Moss's posture but Moss avoids it.
Konish tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Moss presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Eugene Moss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Konish takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Moss tries to control but Konish wriggling away.

Moss fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Moss is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Konish has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Moss is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Konish can do to turn this around?

Moss working over Konish with some ground and pound. Konish looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Moss misses with a head shot. Konish uses the momentum to regain guard.
Konish has control of Moss's left arm, preventing Moss from doing any damage.

Eugene Moss showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Moss has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
