Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lanch Boyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Better Dead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lanch Boyer looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dead gets caught napping as Boyer dives in and scores a takedown. Dead manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Dead wants to stand up but Boyer is controlling him.
Boyer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boyer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boyer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Dead's coach down at Combat Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dead's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dead cracks Boyer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Boyer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dead finish him?

Boyer is rocked!
Dead connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Boyer covering up! Dead comes in with a big uppercut and Boyer goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Better Dead!
Better Dead decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
