Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nolan Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jovan Vladimir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolan Rollins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jovan Vladimir!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins shoots in for a double leg but Vladimir sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rollins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Vladimir shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rollins's guard.

Vladimir drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rollins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vladimir has Rollins in his guard.

Rollins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vladimir is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rollins is controlling him.

Rollins is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Vladimir is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Vladimir has escaped and now he's on top!

Vladimir utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rollins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Vladimir has his foot on Rollins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rollins works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rollins chips away with some ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vladimir can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rollins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Vladimir working a defensive guard but Rollins manages to pass into side control anyway.
Vladimir tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Vladimir looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Rollins scores with punches and elbows.
Rollins controlling from the back.

Vladimir tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nolan Rollins dominated that round.
That's time! Rollins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Vladimir darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rollins is looking for a sweep. Vladimir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Vladimir is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rollins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rollins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vladimir drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rollins looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rollins looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rollins!

Vladimir takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rollins is looking to take a break and control but Vladimir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vladimir is trying to buck Rollins off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Vladimir is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Rollins wants to control but Vladimir is keeping him busy.

Rollins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vladimir, who protects the arm well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Vladimir shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Vladimir stalling away here and it's allowed Rollins to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Vladimir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Rollins has his foot on Vladimir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vladimir works his way back into a safe position though.

Vladimir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rollins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vladimir has managed to get both his arms back between Rollins's legs - danger averted.
Vladimir pushes down on Rollins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rollins keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Vladimir stalling.

Vladimir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Jovan Vladimir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Vladimir decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rollins is trying to control but can't.
Rollins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rollins.
Vladimir wants to control from the top but Rollins keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rollins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vladimir is one step ahead there.

Rollins is looking for a triangle but Vladimir pushes his legs off easily.

Vladimir trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rollins working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vladimir.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Vladimir scores with a one two! Rollins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Rollins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vladimir swivels and escapes.

Vladimir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Vladimir is looking to advance position but Rollins has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Vladimir manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Vladimir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Vladimir is trying to control but can't.
Rollins seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Vladimir. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Vladimir wants to stand back up but Rollins manages to pass into side control.

Vladimir is trying to control Rollins's posture but Rollins avoids it.
Jovan Vladimir has got the better of the ground game so far.
You can see the frustration on Vladimir's face as Rollins controls the position.
Vladimir tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Rollins easily slips into full mount!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vladimir has given up his back here.

Rollins is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Vladimir knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Vladimir for a finish.
Vladimir tries to roll but Rollins sticks to his back.

Rollins has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Vladimir's body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jovan Vladimir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Vladimir has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
