Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arjen De Boar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Khan throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Khan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but De Boar sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Khan advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan controlling the pace for now.

Khan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Khan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

De Boar really wants to buck Khan off and get back to his feet.
Khan is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Khan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Khan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Khan stands up from mount. Strange move.
Sloppy strikes from Khan. Those never looked like landing.
De Boar wants to clinch

and Khan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
De Boar gets underhooks to prevent Khan's takedown attempt.

Khan lands a takedown into guard.
Khan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Khan stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Khan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Khan duly obliges.

It looks like Arjen De Boar has been cut.
De Boar tries to clinch there but Khan circles away.
Arjen De Boar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khan scores with a takedown into De Boar's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Khan gets to his feet - De Boar follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Khan fails with the takedown.
Nice body kick from De Boar.
De Boar tries to close the distance and clinch but Khan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Khan throws a head kick but De Boar moves out of range.
De Boar looks to clinch

and Khan moves into the clinch.
De Boar is looking to control Khan's arms but Khan gets an underhook and turns him. Now De Boar has his back to the cage.
De Boar tries to break the clinch but Khan is controlling the position.
Khan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. De Boar just stands there and leans against the cage.

Khan manages to break the clinch.

Khan scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
De Boar tries a knee to the head but Khan blocks it.

Khan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. De Boar just stands there and leans against the cage.
Arjen De Boar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdullah Khan.

Khan decides to pull guard.

Khan has an active guard here but De Boar has managed to pass into half guard.
Khan is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Khan has one foot on De Boar's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Khan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
De Boar lands with a thumping leg kick.
De Boar misses with a few strikes there.
Arjen De Boar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Khan shoots for a takedown but De Boar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
De Boar lands with a nice body punch.

De Boar lands a left and a right that send Khan crashing to the mat, dazed. De Boar thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Khan is rocked!

It looks like Abdullah Khan has been cut.
Khan is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
De Boar throws a quick head kick that knocks Khan silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! De Boar is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
