Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarvan Bjork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopez shoots in and bounces Bjork off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bjork can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bjork wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lopez drops back looking for a leg! Bjork is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bjork manages to kick Lopez off! Lopez jumps back into Bjork's guard.

Lopez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lopez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bjork defends well and Lopez ends up having to push Bjork into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lopez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bjork lands a left and a right that send Lopez crashing to the mat, dazed. Bjork thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bjork sneaks back into half guard.
Lopez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bjork does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bjork is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Kelly Lopez will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Oooooh!!! Bjork has knocked Lopez down with a huge combo! Bjork steps away and waves a wobbly Lopez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Lopez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
