Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayson Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frank has managed to clinch.
Yamamoto landing knees to the head.
Yamamoto blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Frank really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Yamamoto escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Yamamoto has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yamamoto lands a knee to the body.

Yamamoto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
An inside leg kick lands from Yamamoto.
Yamamoto throws a quick inside leg kick.
Frank misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Yamamoto.

Yamamoto fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Frank has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Yamamoto closes the distance and pushes Frank back into the cage.
Yamamoto content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Yamamoto landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Yamamoto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Yamamoto lands a nice looking body shot.
Frank shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yamamoto as he jumps to the side.

Yamamoto closes the distance and pushes Frank back into the cage.

The referee calls for Frank to work.

Yamamoto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Frank takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Frank shoots in but Yamamoto avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Frank takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Yamamoto has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yamamoto on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Yamamoto is stalling here.

Yamamoto escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Yamamoto lands a left hand.

Yamamoto manages to break the clinch.
Frank shoots for a takedown but Yamamoto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jayson Frank. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Frank is rocked!

Yamamoto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Frank, pushing him back against the cage.
Oh Frank is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Frank looking to throw knees to the head but Yamamoto is blocking nicely.

Yamamoto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Yamamoto closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Yamamoto has Frank pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Frank is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Yamamoto - that's hurt Frank badly! Oh, another knee lands and Frank is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Frank doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Yuki Yamamoto!
