PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuudai Kyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuudai Kyo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Ralph Osborn has been cut.
Kyo misses with a two punch combination.
Kyo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Osborn counters with a big head kick but Kyo shrugs it off.
Kyo misses the shot to the body.

Osborn has taken the fight to the clinch.
Osborn is trying to drag Kyo to the mat but Kyo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kyo is trying to push Osborn away but Osborn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kyo is looking to control Osborn's arms but Osborn gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kyo has his back to the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Osborn tries to pull guard but Kyo holds him up against the cage and eventually Osborn drops back down to his feet.
Osborn lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kyo backwards.
Osborn is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralph Osborn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Osborn blocks an uppercut.

Osborn pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Osborn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kyo defends it easily.
Kyo wants to control from the top but Osborn keeps moving.

Osborn is looking to cinch up a triangle. Kyo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Osborn's body to avoid the submission. Osborn has instead reached around Kyo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Osborn arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
