The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Silva. That snapped Boa's head back.
Boa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Dante Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Boa is out of range.
Boa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Silva tries to score with a low kick but Boa moves his leg out of the way.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Boa is looking to wear down Silva with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boa breaks from Silva's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Boa lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Boa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.

Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Silva is still in real trouble! Can Boa finish him?

Boa postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Silva badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Boa around the waist but Boa pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Boa is the winner by TKO! Boa jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
