Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adel Klemen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adel Klemen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shane Callahan!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callahan throws a hook to the side of Klemen's head but Klemen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Klemen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Callahan throws an overhand right that lands on Klemen's shoulder, as Klemen tries to avoid the shot.
Klemen throws a jab when Callahan was well out of range.
Callahan throws a push kick but Klemen slaps the foot to one side.

Klemen rushes Callahan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Callahan takes a knee to the side of the body.
Klemen working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Klemen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Our sources have told us that Klemen has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Klemen misses with an elbow strike.
Callahan throws an elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Callahan is trying to push Klemen away but Klemen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Callahan is trying to break the clinch but Klemen is controlling him.
Klemen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Callahan wants to break free but Klemen has control.
Klemen is pressed up against the cage. Callahan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Klemen down to the mat. Klemen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Klemen misses with a wild body shot.

Callahan moves out of range of the body kick.
Callahan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Klemen instigates a clinch.
Callahan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A frustrated look appears on Callahan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Klemen just misses with a elbow thrown towards Callahan's brow.
Callahan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Klemen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Klemen is looking to land body kicks.
Klemen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Callahan.
Klemen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Callahan.
Callahan moves out of range of the strikes.
Callahan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Callahan moves out of range as Klemen strikes.
A cross from Klemen lands.

Klemen instigates a clinch.
Callahan misses with a punch on the inside.
Klemen lands an elbow inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Callahan is trying to break the clinch but Klemen is controlling him.
Callahan misses with a short punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Callahan has a couple of punches blocked by Klemen.
Callahan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Adel Klemen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Callahan.
Klemen digs a right hand into Callahan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Callahan's gas tank.
Callahan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Klemen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Klemen lands with a right to the head.
Klemen scores with an uppercut up the middle.


Callahan is rocked!
Callahan takes a knee right on the jaw!
Callahan is still on wobbly legs! Can Klemen finish him?
Klemen pushes Callahan against the cage. Klemen is working some dirty boxing. Klemen pushes off with a quick right hook! Callahan goes down! Callahan tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Klemen moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adel Klemen!
After the fight, Adel Klemen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
