Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Rison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoncy Lowvinceski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoncy Lowvinceski looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kendall Rison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yoncy Lowvinceski!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowvinceski gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rison.
Rison fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lowvinceski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rison throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lowvinceski was covering up waiting for the punch and Rison finishes the takedown easily into guard.


Lowvinceski is rocked!
Lowvinceski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rison controls the pace.
Lowvinceski is still in real trouble! Can Rison finish him?
Lowvinceski lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Rison is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lowvinceski seems to have recovered his senses.
Rison is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rison knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lowvinceski on the ground.

Rison is looking for a sweep. Lowvinceski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rison has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lowvinceski is on him like a limpet, forcing Rison back against the cage.

Lowvinceski is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lowvinceski wants to take the fight to the mat but Rison manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Rison has Lowvinceski pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Rison pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lowvinceski tumbling to the mat - Rison dives into Lowvinceski's guard.

Rison stays in close to Lowvinceski's body and controls the position.

Rison wants the takedown. Lowvinceski is fighting it off but Rison persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lowvinceski's guard against the cage.
Rison has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've been hearing that Rison has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Rison keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lowvinceski's head.
Rison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lowvinceski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've been informed that Lowvinceski has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Rison is working hard here to advance position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rison wants to stand but Lowvinceski is controlling his arm.

Lowvinceski is looking to slow Rison down with leg kicks.
Rison fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Rison closes the distance and pushes Lowvinceski back into the cage.

Rison works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Rison advances to half guard.

Rison is looking for a kimura but Lowvinceski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rison to get the leverage.

Rison wants to pass to mount but Lowvinceski is defending the position.
Lowvinceski is breathing heavily.

Lowvinceski has hold of Rison's hands but Rison slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rison is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rison tries to pass to full mount but Lowvinceski defends it.
Rison working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rison is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lowvinceski can do to turn this around?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rison is working Lowvinceski over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Rison thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lowvinceski blocks the body kick.
Rison swings for the body but Lowvinceski moves out of range.

Lowvinceski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rison cracks Lowvinceski with a solid left hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
