Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glynn BT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Speight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glynn BT has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Speight!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speight lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
BT definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
BT misses with a straight left.
BT fails to land with a series of punches.
Speight misses with a two punch combination.
BT shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Speight counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
BT misses with a hook. Speight ducked under it nicely.
Speight is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from BT is defended easily by Speight.
BT sets himself, and Speight steps forward looking for the clinch! BT avoids it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Speight breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
BT shoots for a takedown but Speight saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

BT tries a body shot but Speight blocks it.
Speight has BT pressed against the cage, preventing BT from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
BT tries to pull guard but Speight holds him up against the cage and eventually BT drops back down to his feet.
Speight tries to break free but BT pushes him back against the cage.
BT trying to stall but Speight improves his position.
Speight blocks an uppercut.
BT goes for a takedown attempt but Speight pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
BT on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
BT takes one on the button.
BT shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Speight but Speight pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Speight breaks the clinch.
BT shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Speight defends it nicely.
A nice side step and Speight releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Speight throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent BT stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Speight blocks a head kick by BT.
BT is looking to clinch but Speight is avoiding it.
BT misses with a lunging right hand

and Speight holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Speight has BT pressed against the cage, preventing BT from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
BT wants to take the fight to the mat but Speight manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
BT tries to pull guard but Speight holds him up against the cage and eventually BT drops back down to his feet.
BT can't find room to land a body shot as Speight controls the action.
BT tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Speight wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Speight's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
BT tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Speight avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Speight lands a jab to BT's midsection.
Speight fails to land with a series of punches.
BT takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

BT drives through with a takedown into guard.
Speight wants to get back to his feet but BT passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

BT tries to score a power double leg takedown but Speight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten BT somewhat.

and BT counters with a shoot takedown. Speight fights it but they end up in guard.
Speight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
BT wants to pass the guard but Speight is keeping the position.

Speight has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
BT engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

BT throws a big right hand that misses.
BT trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Speight wants to get back to his feet but BT is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
BT controlling from the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
David Speight seems to be getting the better of the standup.

BT has managed to clinch.
BT jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Speight walks away with a smile on his face. BT gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Speight leaves BT with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Speight throws out a counter right but BT avoids it with no problem.

Speight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but BT moves away.
A quick step to the side and BT tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
BT shoots for a takedown but Speight saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
BT shoots in for a takedown but Speight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Speight now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Glynn BT is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Speight ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Speight ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Speight connects with a single shot there.

BT moves into the clinch.

Speight breaks from the clinch.
BT shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Speight sprawls well. Speight wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. BT gets slowly back to his feet.

Speight swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by BT.

Glynn BT seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speight jabs BT right on the nose. BT blinks but takes it well.
Speight feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits BTs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
BT shoots and misses
and Speight makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Speight will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Speight swats away the attempt to clinch by BT.

BT drops his hands momentarily and Speight takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
BT throws a head kick that misses.
BT wants to clinch
and Speight counters with a one-two to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice takedown defense from Speight. No joy for BT on that attempt.
BT gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Speight makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

David Speight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

As BT backs off Speight throws a huge counter combo but BT manages to avoid it all.

Speight misses with a series of wild punches.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
BT is looking to clinch.
BT fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Speight avoids it really well and circles away.

Speight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Speight wants it to stay on the feet.
BT takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
BT takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
BT changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Speight tries to avoid it but BT manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Speight to the ground. Speight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
BT takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Oooooh!!! Speight has knocked BT down with a huge combo! Speight steps away and waves a wobbly BT back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Glynn BT has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Speight throws a perfectly timed hook that sends BT crashing down! BT tries to stagger back to his feet but Speight just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused BT asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
