Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rolland Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volga Overstreet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Volga Overstreet!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overstreet fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pierre has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Overstreet has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Overstreet instigates a clinch.

Pierre's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pierre misses with the combination.
Pierre is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Overstreet.
Pierre shoots in and drives through. Overstreet sprawls well.
Overstreet cracks a nice hook into Pierre's ribs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Overstreet. That's going to slow Pierre down.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pierre.
Overstreet flicks out a counter leg kick but Pierre steps away.

Overstreet moves into range and clinches up with Pierre.
Overstreet just leaning against Pierre, taking a breather.
Overstreet misses with a punch to the body.
Overstreet tries to work over Pierre's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Overstreet lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Pierre or not.
Overstreet lands with a left to the head.

Overstreet has Pierre pushed against the cage.
Pierre looking to stall.
Pierre definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Overstreet blocks an uppercut.
Overstreet lands a body shot in the clinch.

Pierre breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pierre looks to land a combination but Overstreet avoids it well.
Pierre throws a series of punches but Overstreet moves out of range.
Pierre takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pierre getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Pierre takes one on the button.
Pierre slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Overstreet slips a jab and a cross from Pierre.
Overstreet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pierre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pierre staying out of range there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Overstreet cracks Pierre with an open hand slap.

Pierre closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Overstreet quickly recovers to half guard.

Pierre is taking a breather. Overstreet says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pierre is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Overstreet gets full guard.
Overstreet tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Overstreet is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Pierre postures up.
Overstreet looking for a sweep. Not yet Overstreet, not yet.
Overstreet is striking from the bottom but Pierre uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Overstreet is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pierre's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pierre's back!
Pierre tries to roll but Overstreet sticks to his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Overstreet controls the action.
Overstreet punches the canvas rather than the man.
Overstreet has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Pierre.
Pierre tries to escape but Overstreet has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Overstreet has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Overstreet punches Pierre on the ear.
Pierre takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Overstreet keeps control of the position as Pierre tries to break free.
Pierre is working hard here to advance position.
Overstreet is punishing Pierre with some ground and pound.

Pierre is rocked!

Overstreet scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Oh Pierre is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Overstreet lands strikes from the back and Pierre isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.

During a confident post fight interview, Volga Overstreet thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
