Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andreas Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Lawlor!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawlor tries to clinch but Peters is having none of it.

Peters gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lawlor decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Peters, up you get!

Lawlor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peters to the mat! Peters manages to get full guard.
Peters bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lawlor's guard.

Lawlor pulls Peters in close to his closed guard and prevents Peters from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lawlor has a closed guard, preventing Peters from standing up.
Peters really is a fat lump.

Lawlor throws his legs up looking for a submission but Peters uses it to pass to side control.

Peters wants to stand but Lawlor has his arm trapped.
Peters trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Lawlor can't do much from the bottom here.
Peters wants to stand but Lawlor is controlling his arm.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lawlor is looking for a sweep.
Lawlor wants to control but Peters postures up.

Peters stands up and beckons Lawlor to his feet.

Lawlor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Peters is not content to let Lawlor control the position.

Lawlor uses his free foot to push down on Peters's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peters.
Peters is trying desperately to improve position.
Lawlor unloads with some shots from mount but Peters bucks and avoids them well.
Lawlor sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peters wants to hold on but Lawlor pushes him away.
Peters is desperately trying to improve his position but Lawlor has a good base and remains in mount.
Lawlor content just to control the position here.

Lawlor goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Peters is on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lawlor holds on and takes a little breather.

Lawlor got a little sloppy there for a moment and Peters has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lawlor has managed to get both his arms back between Peters's legs - danger averted.

Lawlor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Peters sees it coming and defends easily.
Peters wants to control but Lawlor is keeping busy and won't allow it.

and Lawlor counters with a nice body shot.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lawlor closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Andreas Peters has been cut.

Lawlor scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Liam Lawlor has got the better of the ground game so far.
Peters wants to control but Lawlor is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Lawlor decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lawlor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peters was covering up waiting for the punch and Lawlor finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lawlor throws a strike but Peters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Peters tries to clinch up

and Lawlor moves into the clinch.
Peters jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lawlor walks away with a smile on his face. Peters gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lawlor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lawlor.

Lawlor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Peters is looking for a sweep.
Lawlor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lawlor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Peters to his feet.

Peters tries to close the distance and clinch but Lawlor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Peters wants to improve his position but Lawlor is controlling well.

Lawlor wants to stand up but Peters manages to regain full guard.
Peters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well Lawlor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
