The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Island lands a nice leg kick that just misses Grylls's sensitive parts.
Island keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Grylls takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Grylls shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Island as he jumps to the side.
Island leaves Grylls with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bear Grylls. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Island connects with a looping right hand.
Island throws a good cross that connects.
Grylls looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sloppy strikes from Grylls. Those never looked like landing.
Island scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Island works the jab nicely.
Grylls gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Island .
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Island ! Grylls is out on his feet! Island rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Grylls is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Grylls is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
