Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredric Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Maximus will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fredric Higgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Maximus!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Maximus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fredric Higgins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Higgins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Maximus misses the shot to the body.
Higgins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maximus circles away quickly and effectively.
Higgins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maximus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Higgins showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Maximus.
Horrible takedown attempt by Higgins or perhaps it was just good defense by Maximus, which made it look bad.

Higgins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Maximus can do to turn this around?
Maximus using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Higgins has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fredric Higgins will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Maximus throws the left hand but Higgins avoids the punch easily.

Maximus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Higgins.
Higgins throws a right hand that Maximus ducks under and follows up with a left that Maximus also avoids with ease.

Dan Maximus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fredric Higgins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Higgins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
