Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nappa Papa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Boomhower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Boomhower. Papa does a little dance to reset his feet.
Papa lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Papa fails to land with a series of punches.
Boomhower wants to clinch.
Papa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boomhower.
Boomhower throws an overhand right that lands on Papa's shoulder, as Papa tries to avoid the shot.

The crowd cheers as Papa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boomhower doesn't seem phased though.

and Papa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Nappa Papa has been cut.
Papa missing with a left hand there. Boomhower was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Papa throws a right hand that Boomhower ducks under and follows up with a left that Boomhower also avoids with ease.

Papa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Papa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boomhower manages to avoid it.
Papa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Boomhower's hands.

No joy there for Papa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Papa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boomhower throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boomhower tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Papa swivels and escapes.
Papa lands a really nice looking cross but Boomhower seems unphased.
Boomhower throws a series of punches but Papa avoids them all with ease.
We've been told by Papa's head coaches at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Papa connects with a single shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Boomhower feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Papa wants to stand up but Boomhower is controlling him.

Papa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Papa looks to score with a jab to the body but Boomhower is just out of range.

Nappa Papa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boomhower finds Papa's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Papa flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Boomhower lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Papa will be OK.
