Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brady Goodridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goodridge's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Army Of The Pharaohs-Seven. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May misses with a body shot.

Goodridge closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
May drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
May using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Goodridge has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Goodridge has hold of one of May's legs. May is fighting the takedown attempt but Goodridge gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Damian May just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

BOOM! Goodridge connects with a massive shot to the dome!

May tries to hold on but Goodridge pushes him away.
Goodridge fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
May tries to lock up and control but Goodridge gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
May is in a horrible position here. Goodridge smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Goodridge is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so May is just riding it out for now. Goodridge eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
May's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and May duly obliges.

and May counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Brady Goodridge overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Goodridge throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Goodridge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. May gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Goodridge can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as May controls the pace.
Damian May has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
