The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stanson is looking to control Sobrante's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stanson avoid being mounted?
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sobrante wants to pass the guard but Stanson is defending well.
Stanson tries to roll over but Sobrante keeps him under control.
Stanson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sobrante is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sobrante swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Stanson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sobrante, pushing him back against the cage.
Sobrante lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stanson backwards.

Sobrante escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sobrante bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stanson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Sobrante is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Stanson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
