Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Philip McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Wrestler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Wrestler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philip McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Wrestler!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGregor gets caught napping as Wrestler dives in and scores a takedown. McGregor manages to retain guard.
McGregor looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Wrestler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGregor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wrestler sitting in guard, not really doing much.
McGregor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wrestler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wrestler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like Wrestler might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wrestler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

McGregor wants to get back to his feet but Wrestler is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McGregor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wrestler defends it easily.
Wrestler is looking to stand up but McGregor won't let him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McGregor enables Wrestler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McGregor manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wrestler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McGregor works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McGregor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Wrestler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McGregor's half guard.
Wrestler is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wrestler working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Wrestler is looking to advance position but McGregor won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Wrestler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wrestler is looking for a kimura here.

Wrestler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McGregor napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wrestler in side control lands a decent elbow.
Wrestler works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The referee asks Wrestler politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wrestler prefers to stall for the moment though.
Wrestler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGregor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wrestler is looking to take a break and control but McGregor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McGregor prevents Wrestler from moving into mount.

Wrestler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McGregor's head.

Wrestler wants to stand up but McGregor is controlling the position.

The Wrestler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Wrestler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wrestler lands in his opponent's guard.

McGregor is working an open guard so Wrestler takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Wrestler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wrestler postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
McGregor is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Wrestler stands up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wrestler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Wrestler is working McGregor over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wrestler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wrestler in particular looking to stall.

McGregor is rocked!

Wrestler stands up and waves to McGregor to follow him.
Philip McGregor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wrestler fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGregor to the ground. Wrestler is now in McGregor's guard.
Oh McGregor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wrestler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wrestler advances position into side control!

Wrestler is trying to get an arm triangle but McGregor is defending well.
Wrestler scores with punches from side control.
Wrestler in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Wrestler cracks McGregor with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Wrestler immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! McGregor is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Wrestler!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Wrestler!
