Kidane comes to the cage accompanied by Buraka Som Sistema - Kalemba (wegue wegue). Kinfe Kidane has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dos Santos.
Dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Kidane tries to sprawl out of it but Dos Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kidane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kidane thinks about countering with a head kick.

Dos Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kidane throws a head kick but Dos Santos moves out of range.
Kidane lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Cain Dos Santos has been cut.
Dos Santos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kidane counters with a stiff right hand.
Kinfe Kidane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Dos Santos.

and Kidane counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dos Santos thinking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dos Santos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kidane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dos Santos somewhat.
Cain Dos Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dos Santos throws a series of punches but Kidane moves out of range.
It appears Kidane was looking to counter with a kick there.
A left lands for Kidane.

Dos Santos swats away the attempt to clinch by Kidane.

Dos Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kidane napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kidane pushes Dos Santos away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dos Santos gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kidane wants to get back to his feet but Dos Santos is dominant here and he's now got Kidane's back!

Dos Santos is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Dos Santos has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Kidane is in real trouble here. Dos Santos gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Kidane is tapping out! Dos Santos wins by rear naked choke!
