PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johann Isonmycok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasqs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isonmycok comes to the cage accompanied by funky cold medina . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Isonmycok has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Isonmycok there as he acknowledges the shot.

Velasqs sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Velasqs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Isonmycok pulls his head out easily.

Isonmycok is trying to control. Velasqs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Isonmycok moves into full mount! Velasqs won't be happy about that!

Isonmycok is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Velasqs can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Velasqs is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Isonmycok's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Isonmycok's back!

Velasqs is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Isonmycok has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
