Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Big Punisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Mark Kerr enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punisher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Punisher looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Kerr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Punisher sprawls well initially but Kerr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kerr shoots for a takedown but Punisher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Punisher connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Kerr avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kerr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kerr ducks under a wild hook from Punisher.
Kerr misses with a takedown attempt - Punisher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Punisher stuffs the takedown attempt from Kerr. Kerr gets slowly back to his feet.
Kerr slips a straight right by Punisher.

Kerr shoots for a double leg takedown but Punisher sprawls well. He's pushed Kerr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Punisher dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kerr. That did some damage!

Kerr steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Punisher. That one must have hurt.
Kerr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Punisher.
Punisher fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kerr.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Punisher here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kerr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Punisher's guard.

Punisher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kerr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Punisher as he avoids it easily.
Punisher throws a combination. Kerr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kerr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Punisher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kerr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Punisher's guard.
Punisher wants to stand but Kerr is controlling the position.

Kerr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Punisher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Punisher is pushing Kerr's head away, looking to escape. Kerr manages to hold on to the position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Big Punisher.
I think Punisher has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
