The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tran scores with a takedown into Aquino's guard.
Tran with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tran working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Tran throws a big elbow that misses.
Tran throwing strikes from guard but Aquino blocks nicely.
Aquino wants to stand but Tran is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tran stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Aquino throws the left hand but Tran avoids the punch easily.

Tran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aquino swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aquino scores with a punch to the head.
Tran slips under a jab.
Kris Aquino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aquino defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tran.
Tran tries to clinch up but Aquino circles away and keeps his distance.
Aquino lands a jab to Tran's midsection.
Aquino throws a leg kick but Tran checks it.
Aquino connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tran momentarily.

It looks like Rafael Tran has been cut.
Aquino tries a low kick but Tran avoids it.
Tran fails to land the takedown.
Aquino circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tran tries to clinch but Aquino is having none of it.
Aquino's coach down at Weed Nation was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Aquino's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Tran is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aquino finds Tran's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Tran flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Aquino lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Tran will be OK.

After the fight, Kris Aquino was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
