Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin James Gatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tired and clearly flustered, he entered the arena late and after a little discussion it was decided that the bout should take place.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez throws out a leg kick but Gatti moves out of range and Hernandez only half commits.
Gatti looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hernandez is fending him off so far but Gatti persists. Nope, Hernandez circles away and we're back to standing.
Gatti misses with a takedown attempt - Hernandez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hernandez delivers a nice body kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gatti is defended easily by Hernandez.
Miguel Hernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franklin James Gatti.
Gatti shoots in and drives through. Hernandez sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gatti or perhaps it was just good defense by Hernandez, which made it look bad.
Nice uppercut lands for Hernandez. That snapped Gatti's head back.

Hernandez is looking for a sweep.
Hernandez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gatti's best efforts.
Hernandez flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hernandez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hernandez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Gatti avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
