PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Abed Infuriated (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Patrik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Infuriated comes to the cage accompanied by Sticky Situation. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrik has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Infuriated finds it's way round the side to connect with Patrik's head.
Abed Infuriated seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Infuriated throws out a powerful jab.

Infuriated moves into the clinch successfully.
Infuriated prevents a body shot from Patrik.
Infuriated dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Infuriated manages to break the clinch.
Patrik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Infuriated paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Infuriated misses with a hook.

Infuriated gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Infuriated throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Infuriated manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Infuriated digs a right hand into Patrik's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Patrik's gas tank.

Infuriated's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Infuriated fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Patrik looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fight stays on the outside here - Patrik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Patrik avoids a punch combination nicely.
Infuriated throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Infuriated looks to land a combination but Patrik avoids it well.
Infuriated throws the left hand but Patrik avoids the punch easily.
Infuriated works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Infuriated throws a hook but Patrik blocks it.
Infuriated loads up on a big right hand but Patrik slips the punch.
Patrik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Patrik's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Infuriated connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Patrik scrambles back to his feet.

Infuriated is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Patrik.
Patrik misses with the body kick

and Infuriated decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Patrik's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Infuriated postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Patrik is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Infuriated, into his guard.

Infuriated has his foot on Patrik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Patrik works his way back into a safe position though.
Infuriated seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Patrik won't allow Infuriated to sweep him here.
Infuriated is adopting a defensive guard.

Infuriated is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Patrik frees his head nicely. Oh but Infuriated has switched to an armbar! Patrik is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
