Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arvad Gerber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Lee is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Gerber as Lee shoots in.
It looked like Gerber wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gerber throws a shot from downtown. Lee moves away and avoids it.
Lee has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gerber is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Lee closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gerber did well to prevent Lee getting side control.
Gerber is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Disciples Top Team , so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Lee is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gerber is staying active underneath Lee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gerber does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lee is posturing up here but Gerber has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Lee tries to roll out but it's too tight and Lee has to tap! Slick submission there by Gerber!
