Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Warner Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Troest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonas Troest has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Warner Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonas Troest!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troest closes the distance and clinches.
Troest slowing the pace effectively.
Dale is trying to break free.
Dale wants to get back to striking at distance but Troest won't allow it.
Dale is looking to control Troest's arms but Troest gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dale has his back to the cage.

Troest wants the takedown. Dale is fighting it off but Troest persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dale's guard against the cage.

Troest decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Troest moves into the clinch.

Troest lands a takedown into guard.
Troest trying to control the position from guard on top but Dale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Troest controls from within his opponent's guard.
Troest trying to control but Dale is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dale trying to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dale wants to get back to his feet but Troest is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Troest pushes down on Dale's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Troest moves nicely into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Troest trying to control the action but Dale is working from the bottom.

Troest has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Dale walks forward, straight into a front kick from Troest.

Troest decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Troest stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dale to get to his feet.
Troest pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Troest gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Troest jumps into guard, dragging Dale to the mat.
Troest is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Troest wants to sweep here but Dale controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Troest throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dale throws a big right hand that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dale decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Troest throws a series of punches but Dale avoids them all with ease.
Dale fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Troest avoids it really well and circles away.
Dale throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Troest's waist but Troest gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dale off to one side.
Troest throws a sloppy head kick and Dale moves out of range easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Troest lands a head kick!


Dale is rocked!


It looks like Warner Dale has been cut.

Troest moves into the clinch.
Oh Dale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Troest will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dale up against the cage.

Troest has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dale clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Warner Dale's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Dale fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dale seems to have got his legs back now.

Troest drives through and clinches with Dale against the cage.
Dale is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Troest has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dale is trying to keep an underhook but Troest manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dale is looking for a sweep. Troest is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Troest is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Troest is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dale wants to get back to his feet.
Troest missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Dale is trying to control but can't.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Troest trying to control the action but Dale is working from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Troest displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dale.
Troest throws a body kick that misses

and Dale counters by clinching up.

Troest pulls guard.
Dale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Troest is trying to keep Dale in close.
Dale preventing the sweep.
Dale missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Troest is on top in guard.

Jonas Troest has got the better of the ground game so far.
Troest won't allow Dale to get back to his feet.

Troest's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Troest postures up and lands a big shot to Dale's brow.
Troest controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Troest stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dale swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Troest won't allow Dale to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Troest bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dale seems a little lost for a moment, as Troest dominates the positioning.
Dale pushes Troest away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Troest gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A lull in the action here as Troest stalls from top position.
Dale struggling a bit here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dale is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Troest has just dragged him back down to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonas Troest showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Troest keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dale misses with a takedown attempt - Troest sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Troest misses with an uppercut. Dale saw that one coming.
Dale has his takedown stuffed

and Troest counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dale!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Warner Dale. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Troest trying to control the action but Dale is working from the bottom.

Dale shoots and misses

and Troest counters with a crisp one two that drops Dale! Troest thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dale to his feet! Dale is in big trouble!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dale fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Troest avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck for Dale with that takedown attempt.

Troest moves into range and clinches up with Dale.

Troest has clasped his hands together around Dale's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Dale is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Troest decides to stand back up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Troest darts in and clinches Dale up against the cage.

Troest gets control of Dale's arms and successfully pulls guard. Troest will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dale won't allow Troest to get back to his feet.
Dale with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dale working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Troest trying to keep a closed guard but Dale is proving a slippery customer.
Dale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dale wants to get up but he can't break Troest's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Troest changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dale looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dale is trying to control Troest's posture but Troest avoids it.

Troest is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dale has escaped the position, nice work there.
Troest just content to control the position.
Troest is chipping away with strikes.
Troest wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dale keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Troest looks up at the clock and then as Dale takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Troest smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dale is not content to let Troest control the position.
Troest grinds an elbow into Dale's temple.
Troest wants to control but Dale is keeping him busy.
Dale stops Troest from passing to mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jonas Troest comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Troest has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
