Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood by Slayer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Fedor Belfort!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banner shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Belfort eats them both and turns towards Banner to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Banner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Belfort can do to turn this around?

Banner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Belfort walks away with a smile on his face. Banner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Banner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Belfort is just riding it out for now. Banner eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Banner stops Belfort from getting back to his feet.
Bruce Alvarez Banner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Belfort lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Belfort lands a big uppercut and Banner crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Banner looks OK. Belfort waves Banner back to his feet!

Well Banner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
