The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mateusz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mateusz is trying to control the action in half guard but Fellows is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fellows tries to kick Mateusz off but Mateusz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Fellows pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Fellows tightens his grip and picks Mateusz up, before dumping him to the ground. Mateusz manages to land in guard.

We've been informed that Fellows has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Fellows tries to free his leg and advance position but Mateusz is retaining full guard.

Fellows goes for a takedown attempt but Mateusz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fellows leaves Mateusz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mateusz or perhaps it was just good defense by Fellows, which made it look bad.
Mateusz moves in looking to clinch but Fellows pushes him off.

Mateusz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fellows as he avoids it easily.

Mateusz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mateusz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fellows takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fellows got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mateusz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fellows has managed to get both his arms back between Mateusz's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mateusz is trying to control the position but Fellows postures up.
Mateusz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fellows works over Mateusz with some ground and pound from guard.

Fellows gets to his feet - Mateusz follows without any prompting.

Mateusz moves into range and clinches up with Fellows.
Fellows tries to pull guard but Mateusz holds him up against the cage and eventually Fellows drops back down to his feet.
Mateusz jumps guard but Fellows turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Fellows lands with a light punch inside.
Fellows swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Mateusz is working for takedown but Fellows is calmly controlling the position for now.

Fellows is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Fellows's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mateusz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fellows's waist but Fellows gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mateusz off to one side.
