Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maki Pulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bravo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulu's entrance music is Alive. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bravo Jr tries to avoid it but Pulu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bravo Jr to the ground. Bravo Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pulu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pulu darts in looking for a takedown but Bravo Jr gets double underhooks and turns Pulu into the cage.

Bravo Jr breaks from the clinch.
Pulu shoots in for a double leg but Bravo Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maki Pulu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pulu goes for a double leg but Bravo Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bravo Jr continues to drive forward.
Bravo Jr blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Pulu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pulu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pulu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pulu drops back looking for a leg! Bravo Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bravo Jr manages to kick Pulu off! Pulu jumps back into Bravo Jr's guard.
Pulu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Pulu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pulu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bravo Jr tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Pulu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bravo Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bravo Jr looks to move to half guard but instead Pulu has passed into mount! Damn!

Pulu is working for a guillotine from mount but Bravo Jr frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pulu throws some wild stikes that Bravo Jr manages to avoid easily.
Bravo Jr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bravo Jr wants to control but Pulu is having none of it.
